Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart Kampala and drive west, with a stopover at the Equator for photos, through volcanic formation of the Western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The descent reveals a stunning panorama of Lakes George and Edward amidst game-filled plains. You will have a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in the late afternoon, have evening relaxation after a long journey, candle light dinner and overnight.
Morning Relaxation And Afternoon Romantic Boat Cruise
Our day starts with a morning bed breakfast, relaxation and personal interaction, Lunch and then in the afternoon, proceed for a unique 2-hour romantic boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The trip passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. Keep an eye open for the enormous water monitor lizard, as well as crocodiles. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The bird life is colorful and abundant. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
A Game Drive
This day starts with packed breakfast which you will have in the wild during a game drive offering the chance to view Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-systems of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters, home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. The game drive in this park, with the massive Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop, provides an excellent opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, African buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, and bushbuck. You will then drive back to your lodge for lunch.
Return To Kampala
Have early morning breakfast then drive back to Kampala through Kasese town with a stopover in Uganda’s cleanest town Fort Portal with awesome views of the tea plantations on this windward side of Rwenzori mountains. You arrive Kampala in the early evening and be dropped at your home.
