8 Days Best of Kenya Wildlife Safari
On this 8 Days Best of Kenya your safari starts with Samburu national reserve where you will have a full day of game drives. Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park famously known for its birdlife especially the flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake before ending your safari with the famous Masai Mara national reserve that is well known for its bountiful wildlife and the great migration that happens between Masai Mara and the Serengeti national park in Tanzania.

This safari offers you opportunities to look out for the big 5 (lion, buffalo, elephant, leopard and rhino) , other game like zebras, wildlife, olive baboons, warthogs, antelopes, bird species over the savannah grasslands in Kenya’s greatest national parks and reserves.

Day 1: Arrival to Nairobi
Your safari begins today with your arrival in Nairobi (JKIA) where you will be welcomed to Kenya by a Kagera Safaris representative and your driver guide. You will then be transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Samburu National Reserve
Wake up and have a hearty breakfast at your lodge/camp after which you transfer to the base hotel, pick up your luggage and then start the journey to Samburu national reserve as you will drive further north. On arrival have lunch and go on an afternoon game drive. This game drive will introduce to the wildlife in Samburu national reserve. Look out for the African leopard, giraffes, lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, impalas, water bucks, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, olive baboons and different species of birds as well. Retire to the lodge in the evening after a successful game drive and have dinner.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
Breakfast this morning will prepare you for a full day of game drives in Samburu national reserve. The game drives will give you an opportunity to look out for wildlife such as the big 5, zebras, beisa oryx, somali ostrich, giraffes, waterbucks etc. The game drives will give you excellent game viewing and in addition beautiful landscape sightings and rare bird species.

Return to the lodge later in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine over dinner as you reminisce on the day’s sightings.

Day 4 & 5: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park
Have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and then transfer to Lake Nakuru national park a beautiful wildlife haven famously known for its thousands of flamingos which are usually along the shores of Lake Nakuru. You will have a short stop over at the Thompson’s falls where you will have an opportunity to take some great photos before continuing your journey towards the rift valley. The national park is regarded as the “Birdwatcher’s paradise” and is also home to both the black and white rhino, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe among a wide variety of game.

On arrival at the park you will go on a game drive as you look out for these wildlife experiences and the game drive will also take you to the shores of Lake Nakuru famously known for its birdlife especially the flamingos.

Day 6: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After a hearty breakfast you will drive to Masai Mara national reserve. The journey will take you through the vast landscape and nature of Kenya as you drive down the escarpment via Narok to Masai Mara. On arrival at your lodge you will be warmly welcomed with a fresh glass of juice and have lunch. After a delicious lunch head for an introductory evening game drive to Masai Mara before your dinner.

Day 7: Game drive
Breakfast in the morning will prepare you for a full day of game viewing in the famous Masai Mara National reserve across the savannah grassland and rolling hills. You will carry packed lunch from the lodge and then head out in to the reserve for a whole day of spectacular game viewing. Look out for wildlife – big herds of lions, leopards, elephants, the elusive cheetah, Thomson’s gazelle, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, topis, spotted hyenas, zebras, baboons and the graceful giraffes. You return to the lodge or camp later in the evening for dinner.

Day 8: Transfer from Masai Mara to Nairobi
Today marks the end of your amazing Kenya Safari as you will have breakfast in the morning and then drive back to Nairobi. You arrive in Nairobi in time for lunch and then transfers to the airport for your flight out of Nairobi.
